Harry Potter
So there is a Harry Potter marathon on... I literally think I've seen every single one of them now. I'm ready for a new movie series to be on... Maybe like Star Wars or the Indiana Jones movies. Heck I would even take Jurassic Park!
Making Dinner
Tonight I have decided that I would cook for my roommate and my girlfriend. It should be a good time and pretty interesting. I hope everything goes ok and that they enjoy my food!
25 days of Christmas
So ABC Family is having its annual 25 days of Christmas where they show Christmas movies and other things. I have been enjoying this event with my girlfriend. Its just a nice thing to do when there is nothing else on tv.

Test
I have a lovely math test coming up on Monday.. The test we took on Friday kicked my ass and I was suppose to study this weekend but that didn't happen... Oh well... Looks like I'm going to have to go sit through another horrible math test on Monday not knowing anything. Thank you math class!!!
Sunday Football
As my roommate and I watched football this Sunday, we were in a heated battle. His Indianapolis Colt's were playing my New England Patriots. This game seemed like the Patriots were going to just stomp on a injured Colts team. The Patriots had a 31 to 14 lead going into half time. The Colts made a come back which was scary bu the Patriots ended up winning by three point. GO PATS!!!
I wanna hold your hand...
As I lay on the couch that is in my dorm room with my girlfriend I have a weird urge to just hold her hand. My girlfriend and I just started dating like a month ago. We met over facebook which is a little weird but I'm glad we did. She is pretty amazing and I think I might just miss her over thanksgiving break.

Cleaning
I like to keep our dorm room clean and when I came back from spending the night with my girlfriend it was far from that. So I spent some of my day cleaning the room. It felt good to clean the room. Now I don't feel like I'm living in dirt and its so funny how happy my roommate gets when the room is clean when he gets back. Well another week is coming up ahead and I got to just keep going. haha
Changing Season
As keeping in line with traditions my roommate and I decided to decorate our room with Christmas lights. This actually turned out to be some fun. I also played some silly Christmas song's to get into the mood. As people on our floor walked by and gave us weird looks, we just smiled because we had fun and it was a goofy thing to do. I can't wait for Christmas.

Barak O'Drama
Leaders of President Obama's deficit commission suggested cuts to federal Social Security pension benefits, deep reductions in federal spending and higher taxes for millions of Americans to stem a flood of red ink that they said threatens the country's very future. President Obama has pushed the Speaker of the House Nancey Pelosi and other Democrats to vote for this bill. This plan also calls for a gradual 15 cent tax increase on federal gasoline tax, limiting or eliminating popular tax breaks in return for lower rates, and benefits cuts and an increased retirement age for Social Security.
Do we all want to wait to retire? Do we want to pay even more for gasoline? And that other stuff too?
I would have to answer HELL NO to all of those questions. Unless your insane you wouldn't want to either. Is this the last ditch effort for President Obama to save his presidency? I think so.... We can all admit that our national deficit is a growing problem and needs to be taken care of but you can't solve a problem that has been growing over many years in one night. These quick fixes have the power to HURT our economy more then they do to HELP.

Oh how social networks bring people together. This past week I had added a girl on Facebook because I thought she was very attractive. We have been talking all week and hanging out. I'm really glad I added her. I just thought it was really funny how Facebook could bring people together.

Troop Surge
The United States has launch a troop surge in the Middle East. This plan was put into place to help secure and to lock down areas already controlled by American forces. This plan calls sending additional troops into areas like Iraq and Afghanistan. Both President Bush and Obama are in favor of this even though Obama was against at first. I feel that this operation/ policy is not worth it and will cost more then what we will gain in the end.

Public Writing
I feel public writing is the chance for someone to clearly express their feelings about a certain issue by telling how they feel and by using the opposition argument to work for them. Its writing to persuade someone that be on the fence about a certain issue you by using both sides of the argument. I also feel that public writing is used in everyday challenges. These writings are what move along certain issues and also point out the truth.

Where Did Everyone Go??
As I came back to lovely BSU I noticed this place was a ghost town. Everyone had disappeared. I am lucky that my roommate was still here because I think I would have went insane with boredom last night without him, even though I was kicked out of the room till one thirty because I was "trying to be a good roommate" what ever that means. Well I'm glad to be back at school and out of the wilderness. Showers never felt so good before spending a night of being smelly!
Camping
This weekend my parents had dragged my sister and I camping for fall break. When went down by Spencer Indiana to McCormick's Creek State Park. The weather was very nice there except for at night. I had opted to stay in a tent instead of our families camper because I wanted to go back to the good ole days of camping you actually stayed in a tent. I didn't realize how could it got during the night! Well no worries I survived this lovely experience with only a broken Ball State I.D. Oh and on the plus size my mom made me a huge warm blanket, gosh I love that woman!!

Flag Football
I am so disappointed in the flag football tournament I participated in this weekend. It was really lame. The refs called every penalties under the sun and the rules just sucked. Their wasn't any contact allowed and that made the whole game difficult. I grew up playing football and I played for nine years, so I have the mentality that football is a physical sport. Well flag football isn't and I don't think I will ever play again. It just was so lame and really boring.....

My Website
http://avoidtheviolence.weebly.com/
My website is about video game violence and how it can cause aggressive behaviors in teens. I started off by asking the question if you could get away with certain crimes would you actually commit them or would avoid them because you know they were wrong. Then I chose a couple of video games that have really cause controversy in the video game world and some that were just plain violent. The first to games I talk about really had an effect on the video game world because of their violence. After the release of Mortal Kombat, the video game industry had to set up a rating system for its games. Then Grand Theft Auto has been the discussion for many court cases. Then I moved into a story about a teen that had shot three cops because he thought he was living in a video game. After this I moved into the critics of video games, which include the United States government and select news programs. After the critics I moved into my personal opinion. I really do believe that video games do not cause violent behaviors. When people blame violence on video games its like blaming all guns in the world for people dying, when we actually know people die from all sorts of things like old age and diseases. When children play video games they should be able to develop the disconnect between real life and their fictional world. My website was about video game violence. Thanks!

Music = Connections
Last night I put my theory that music brings people together into action. I was hanging out in my friends room and I started to play some of my classic 90's music. Everyone was singing along and having a good time. It made me feel so good to have so many people enjoying themselves and some good music. This is why i firmly believe music brings people together in happiness.

E2
I live on the second floor of Laffollette in Edward Hall. They guys on my floor are really connecting or at least on side of the hall is. I feel so bad for my RA because we are so loud and its really hard to calm us down. We all play video games and everything together and it can get a little rowdy. Also one room on my floor where my buddies Ross and Kyle live gets so loud because we spend some of our time yelling stuff out their window at passing ladies. I would just like to dedicate this post to the boys of E2. Yeah that means you to Matt!

The Boys Are Back In Town......
This weekend I'm deciding to go home for the second time this year. My cousin is getting married so I was more like forced. So as I plan to return to Warsaw I needed something to do when I got there. All of my friends and I decided to meet up at our high school football game. From there we will find some trouble to get into and hopefully the weekend goes well. Oh my oldest sister is also coming home. She lives in Portland, Maine. I don't get to see her very often so that should be fun. Well I hope everyone has a GGGrrreeeaaattt weekend!!
Let A Sleeping Dog Sleep....
This post is dedicated to people that have been in a failed relationship. Yesterday as I walk to my history class my ex-girlfriend creeped up behind me and pinched me on the back of the arm. This meeting was awkward at first because I did not know what to say but, don't worry she had plenty to tell me. She first started off by telling me how much she loved Ball State and how wonderful her life was going. She also added in her new amazing boyfriend and how wonderful he is. Oh how I missed her lovely attitude. That was sarcasm. I don't want to come off as a jerk but after spending a year and half with someone, can't you just be nice. I tried to keep the conversation civil and short but she just wanted to draw it out. Then this little meeting led into a whole day of fighting. She is a person that if she isn't right or doesn't get her way she will make your life a living hell. Well I hope her the best of luck with the new relationship and I hope one day she will realize that I'm here for her as a friend...

Friends
My friends from IPFW came down this Saturday. We showed them around campus and I think we talked some of them into transferring to Ball State. They were amazed in the size difference of our campus versus their. I'm so glad I got to see them this weekend. It really made me miss the summer and hanging out on the lake and just having a great time. I'm so glad they had a good time and I can't wait till next year.
Music...
My roommate and I like to listen to music when we study. We alternate in between each others favorite artist every time. My favorite band are the Counting Crows. They are a alternative band and very cool and chill to listen to when you are studying. My roommate really likes the Zach Brown Band. I think its amazing how music can grow on you if you go into it with a open mind. Both of our music has grown on each other and now we request to listen to each others band.

Dog Days...
I spent this weekend watching after my sisters puppy. He is a Great Dane/Lab mix. His name is Wrigley and he is a goof. While watching him I started to realize how much responsibility can change a person. I spent the weekend watching TV and playing with Wrigley instead of going out and partying. I felt older watching over something else. I felt like I had a job to do and that he needed me to be there for him. I must say though after hanging out with him all weekend that I'm glad I don't have that responsibility yet...

Ethos, Pathos, and Logos....
ETHOS
- Example: Professor Stephen W. Hawking
His name is Mr. Hawking and we can all agree that he knows what he is talking about even though its a little strange...
PATHOS
- Example: Nike

This commercial made me want to go kick a soccer ball!
LOGOS
- Example: Al Gore
Let's not forget about Al's power lift and clicker. We can all admit he scared us into believing global warming was real.

College Football
I love waking up on Saturday morning and turning on the t.v and flipping the channel over to ESPN to find out who is all playing today. I remember being a kid and waking up on Saturdays to turn on my favorite cartoon but now my interest have changed football instead of Power Rangers. I never have a favorite college team because I love watching all the schools play. I like how every game means something. It's not like the NFL where there is always next season. This season and the ones before it and after it are all special because you have senior who are graduating and freshmen who are coming in. That is why I love Saturday College football!

Maria's .......
This weekend started out with a decision to either go home or stay at lovely Ball State by myself. I chose to leave and go home even though my parents had gone camping. I soon this found out that this was the right decision. After my late night steak with one of my best friends and finish my laundry and homework for the weekend, it was soon Saturday. This when my weekend really picked up. I started my day out on one of our lovely one hundred lakes in our county. After a short jumping in and out of the water we went into to dry off for the nights "activities". We started off by going to a Chinese buffet, which later would be visiting me again and other people of the group, then we went back to the lake house to start in for the night. We began with a couple friendly games of.... Well its name isn't very important. After all of our "activities" I'm going say that it was pretty successful night. After our slow rising we went to one of our local pancake house's. We ate up our omelets, biscuits and gravy, and drank all the coffee insight so we could have a lovely cold day on the lake. So I'm going to say that this weekend was pretty amazing and I hope everyone else had a great Labor Day!

Late Night Steaks...
Tonight I found myself hanging out with one of my best friends from High School. We went and watched our old school get creamed in their third football game of the season, to one of our biggest rivals. Then we adventured over to our local Wal-Mart were we bought a couple of steaks and other food products. We then started our lovely fifteen drive home to my house in the middle of no where. I must say our steaks were very scrumptious. Now we are throwin' it old school watching some Malcom in the Middle. Well fellow bloggers I'm going to go pass out so have a great night!
Game On!
Last night I experienced my first Ball State football game. It started of slow but after the second half it started to pick up. We won 27-10. This was good win for us. I was also introduced to tail-gating. This was also a great experience. I tail-gated with my sister and her boyfriend and all their friends. I just want to mention that I haven't seen that many cops in my whole entire life. But, my first BSU football game was really good and I can't wait for my next home game!!!

Walleyball???
I was introduced to the new and crazy sport of Walleyball this last week. I must admit that I soon found myself addicted to this sport. The sport is a combination of Volleyball inside a racket ball court. You are allowed to hit the ball off the walls which allows for some crazy game play. I think I am in love with this new and crazy sport and if anyone would like to play just get in touch with me. We usually play around nine o'clock.

Ear Piercings?
This post is going out to the lovely boys on the second floor in Edward Hall. Last night I was blessed, after coming home from an exciting game of Walleyball, to find my fellow floor mates gather around a drunk guy getting his ear's pierced. As I watched this event take place, it made me think of all the crazy stuff people do while intoxicated. I found myself reflecting on my own past and the past of buddies with their crazy antics. Well no worries about the guy and his ear's. He just woke up this morning with a horrible head ache and some uneven ear piercings. Oh how excited I am for more college stories.
